Solo Un Hombre - Original

Solo Un Hombre is a portrait of masculinity, intimacy and defiance. Two leather-clad figures sit closely together, one with an arm wrapped around the other while also raising his middle finger to the viewer.

Dan draws on the visual language of gay leather and bear culture - leather caps, chains and tattoos - balancing affection with swagger. The “Forever” heart tattoo adds a romantic note, while the gesture brings humour and attitude to the scene, capturing the mix of toughness, tenderness and irreverence that runs through the work.
