Rob Makin - Collector's Edition

This special Collector’s Edition of Dan Flores’ portrait of Rob Makin is hand-finished with silver leaf, applied to the ring that hangs beneath Rob’s arm. The ring belonged to Rob’s Nan, making it one of the most personal elements within the original painting and a fitting detail to highlight in this limited edition.

Rob’s muscular, heavily tattooed body is contrasted with quieter symbols of memory and vulnerability, including the ring and the delicate feather referencing one of his tattoos. The hand-applied silver leaf adds a further dimension to the work, catching the light and making each print subtly individual.
