Inked Adam reflects Dan Flores’ long-standing fascination with tattooed figures and the way the body can become a form of self-expression.

The sitter’s intricate, Polynesian-influenced tattoos connect with Dan’s own Hawaiian-American heritage. Despite the figure’s physical strength, his bowed head and inward-looking pose introduce a sense of vulnerability and introspection - a contrast between an elaborately decorated exterior and a private, contemplative moment.
