About Dan & Serg
Dan & Serg are artists and life partners whose creative practices meet at the point where image-making becomes an act of collaboration.
Working together, they create bespoke portrait sessions that move beyond traditional photography. Each shoot is approached as a shared process, combining Serg’s photographic eye with Dan’s intuitive sense of styling, composition, and atmosphere. Their aim is not simply to produce images, but to create a considered series of portraits that explore presence, intimacy, and the subtle ways a person occupies space.
Every session begins with a conversation. Mood, setting, and intention are shaped collaboratively, allowing the shoot to unfold organically rather than follow a fixed formula. This process encourages a natural rhythm, where the subject is able to settle into the environment and the camera becomes part of the atmosphere rather than a barrier.
After the shoot, images are carefully edited and curated with emphasis placed on coherence and emotional resonance. The result is a small body of photographs designed to live together - a set of images that feel thoughtful, expressive, and quietly cinematic.
These sessions are designed for individuals, couples, and creatives who are drawn to portraiture that feels personal and reflective. The photographs are intended to be lived with and returned to over time - images that hold character, presence, and a sense of atmosphere.
Alongside their collaborative work, Dan continues his practice as a painter and Serg as a photographer. Their partnership brings these two disciplines into dialogue, allowing portraiture to become both a creative exchange and a shared artistic process.

Dan & Serg: The Exhibition
Alongside their portrait sessions, Dan & Serg are currently developing a new body of collaborative work to be presented in an exhibition at Atelier Beside the Sea in Brighton, Sussex in September 2026.
The show will bring together Dan’s paintings and drawings with Serg’s photography, exploring their shared interest in observing people and the subtle narratives that emerge within everyday moments.
